GaiaRaptor

During my first lab session for my 3D Foundations class, I decided to play around with one of our required programs, Zbrush. I began messing around with the numerous tools, which resulted in a sculpt that gradually evolved into something resembling a theropod dinosaur, but sporting four beefy arms, a bladed tail, and a face with a massive crest blocking the eye sockets. I soon found myself wanting to draw this creature, because I truly felt I had something special here. Throughout the month, when I wasn't building 3D models, I spent my free time refining this creature's appearance, soon turning into the final rendition in the concept art. This is the GaiaRaptor, a creature, whose final design was created by combining various traits from numerous animals (both extinct and still thriving) and from many of my personal favorite movie monsters, (ranging from the 70's all the way to now.) For my first true unique creature design, I'm proud of how he turned out, even more so to call him mine.
